We Need Host Families!

Over the last few weeks we have been extremely busy. We have announced our partnerships with Communities in School and the Boys and Girls Clubs of Coastal Carolina. We have attended the fantastic business after hours expo. We have solidified a PA Announcer, food vendors, and our promotional schedule. Our pocket schedules are in and are ready for distribution. When our interns come in next week, that will be job one for them.

Our mascot also arrived. We can't wait to unveil him. And yes it's a Marlin. That's all I can say. Oh and it has a huge nose, maybe too large. I swear, no more details. You'll just have to wait.

Most importantly, we have been searching for host families for the season for our players, coaches, interns, and staff. We are in need of at least 6-7 more supportive host families for the season. This host family program includes season tickets for the whole family and is a great experience for everyone involved. I have seen many great relationships formed from this particular program in the past. So, if you have a spare room in the house and want to help out the local baseball team, please give us a call. Really, host families are the backbone of this organization, along with our loyal sponsors. If you can help us out, it would be greatly appreciated.

  2. Hi Kira,

Sorry, I didn't see your comment. The 2011 season starts May 31st and players usually arrive around Memorial Day. Probably on Sunday. We are consistently working on recruiting players and we'll probably won't have an official roster until April or early May. If you have an area or school preference, we could certainly look into that. Please email me if you are interested and I will shoot you over some host family information. chris@mhcmarlins.com
