Wow. Only 30 days left until the Morehead City Marlins grace O'Neal Field at Big Rock Stadium in full uniform. The anticipation has got to be getting to everyone. I know we are really excited about this new summer collegiate franchise (if you can't tell).
Today, Buddy and I attended the Small Business Luncheon in Morehead City. Joan Lamson had received a rather unexpected award for her service to the business community through SCORE. Congrats to her. At this event, I learned a little more about Carteret County as it continues to grow.
In other news, Leadership Carteret have been nice enough to put on a 'Meet and Greet' with the Marlins on May 25th at the Boys and Girls Club to benefit the Boys and Girls Club. More information on this event will be passed along in the near future. If you are interested in attending, tickets can be purchased at the Marlins office or at Chalk and Gibbs. Stay tuned.
