This past Saturday, the Marlins traveled to Columbia for a double header with the Blowfish. After a split and the long trip back to Morehead City, the Marlins were in action last night against the Wilmington Sharks. The Marlins were down early and couldn't catch up. The road trip might have had something to do with the outcome. Columbia is quite the haul from Morehead City. The Marlins now currently sit in third place in the division with a record of 9-8. Despite being one game over .500, the Marlins are in good shape this half.
Unfortunately, the Marlins couldn't pull out the win, but our groups had a blast: the Jacksonville Knights field of dreams team and birthday party members Jaydon and Ariana. We were really impressed with the turnout last night. I haven't had a chance to check out the action during the games, but I do hear the cheers and shouts from the fans. The fans are certainly immersing themselves in the game with each passing pitch.
