I should have saved the previous post title for this next entry.
Yesterday, at the Big Rock Blue Marlin Tournament, Marlins mascot and local celebrity, Finn, made a surprise appearance. As it turned out, Finn was able to check out a Blue Marlin as it was weighed and hung for all to see. The 528 pound monster of a fish certainly brought a number of people out. This was my first opportunity to see the Big Rock Tournament in action. It was amazing to see the amount of interest there was and how many flashbulbs were going off. That Marlin that was reeled in was certainly huge. I can't imagine the one that was caught on Monday.
The Marlins baseball team had a small gathering yesterday at the Country Club of the Crystal Coast. We certainly appreciated the hospitality by Chip Chamberlain and his staff. The food was great as always.
The Marlins are currently in route to Fayetteville to take on the Swampdogs as we look to get back on track with a much needed win. It's going to be a hostile environment in Fayetteville as it is Thursday Thursday. Hopefully, our pitchers can block all the chatter out and focus on the game.
